Captions show speech, speaker identification and meaningful sounds. Captions start on. Press CC Captions on to turn them off, or CC Captions off to turn them on. The button exposes its pressed state to assistive technology.
Choose a language in Caption language. Only supplied tracks appear. The selection applies immediately without moving focus. Captions continue at the same time when resolution changes.
A caption file that cannot load produces a status message. Read or download the transcript as an alternative. Accurate captions must be supplied by the media publisher; this player does not automatically transcribe speech.
For offline captions, download the VTT file as well as the video. A compatible external media player must load that VTT file; browser downloads do not burn captions into the video.
